Visit 1 (45-60 minutes)

  • Review of your functional medicine analysis to uncover underlying imbalances
  • Functional laboratory recommendations to confirm and quantify underlying imbalances
  • Case overview
  • Interim treatment plan
  • The first In-office visit includes a brief physical and nutritional exam

Visit 2 (30-45 minutes)

  • Review of findings for your functional laboratory results
  • Presentation of your bespoke treatment plan
    • Nutritional recommendations
    • Supplement prescription
    • Lifestyle recommendations
    • Additional/follow-up testing when necessary
    • Collaborative care referrals when necessary

Reaching Your Goals:

  • Additional visits (15-30 minute) scheduled periodically to update and fine you’re your treatment plan
  • Ongoing Secure portal messaging for simple questions and concerns
  • Treatment plans rage in length but the average length is 6 months
  • Optional but highly recommended: health coaching is available and does increase patient success rates
  • Additional/follow-up testing when necessary

At Functional Medicine Oregon, we strive to provide the highest quality of care for every patient we see. We take the time to listen to your story and concerns. By digging deep into your history and using cutting edge laboratory assessments, we uncover the “why” behind your complaints. Dr. Thomas goes beyond just handing out a diagnosis and treating symptoms. Instead, she finds the root cause of your ailments and works with you to develop a treatment plan based on your goals.

This highly personalized type of healthcare is not supported by insurance providers or Medicare. For payment, we accept cash, checks, credit cards, care credit and HSA’s. In some cases, lab tests may be covered by your insurance. Payments must be made in full at the time of service.

Transparent Pricing

Visits are billed at $400 (60 minutes)

Time is billed on the quarter hour. Most visits are 30 minutes. You will not be billed for the time outside the office visits used to complete treatment plans and other tasks related to your case.

Supplement Costs

Each supplement program is specifically designed for each individual and will range in price. Monthly costs can range from $50-$200 depending on the complexity and phase of the program.

Lab Test Costs

Laboratory assessments are an integral part of discovering what underlying imbalances need to be addressed. As each person will require different tests, prices can range from approximately $200-$1,500. All labs are offered at wholesale pricing. Lab prices are not marked up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Use My HSA?

Our services do qualify under HSA regulations. However, it is your responsibility to confirm this with your individual HSA provider.

Can I Purchase My Supplements From Somewhere Else?

Yes, although we strongly discourage changing the specific supplement recommendation. This includes the brand, as all supplements are not created equal. We only recommend professional-grade supplements that have been third-party tested and have the highest Good Manufacturing Procedures in place. This assures that the supplement is not contaminated, contains the right supplement, the proper dose, and is in the correct form.

How Do I Purchase Labs?
After your initial visit, Dr Thomas will order labs via a third-party company called “RUPA”. RUPA will handle the Billing, scheduling, and customer service. Occasionally some of these labs can be billed to insurance but that is the patient’s responsibility if they wish to do that.

Where will I get my labs collected/completed?
Many of the labs utilized in functional medicine are non-invasive and can be collected at home (stool, saliva, urine). However, sometimes blood labs are required in which case you may use a lab draw site or a mobile phlebotomist. RUPA will help in either case.
Is Dr. Thomas A Primary Care Physician?

No. Dr. Nicole Thomas MSHNFM, DC is a Chiropractic Physician and a Functional Medicine expert. Although chiropractic physicians are considered primary care in the state of Oregon, Dr. Thomas is focused on health optimization. She uses her expertise to help address core imbalances in the body.

We do not replace the services that your current primary care offers. Our services are focused on creating and optimizing health.

How long does the typical treatment plan take?

Most treatment plans are 6 months in length however more complex cases may take longer.
